To develop their recipe, the Carthusians use different producers in the Alps who select the best varieties of Artemisia fot them, thus enabling them to maintain exceptional quality over time. The Cartusians Fathers devote the greatest of care to ther recipe, leaving the plants to macerate wich gives the liqueur its natural colour. They then extract the juice from the plant and distil it, giving full expression to the plant’s aromatic complexity.
